[Goombario's Story]

I honestly wasn't expeecting much when I loaded this up, but this turned out to be fantastic! The use of 3D spriting looked amazing, and the story was funny, interesting and stayed true to the games. It's a shame this is your last sprite movie. This had such great potential for an awesome series.

I did enjoy it as a lone entry though. 5 stars!

[Sonic Drowns?]

I loved the pixel art styled visuals. It was as if Sonic 2 had cutscenes. Not only did it blend well, but it was very accurate to the characters too. Good job! I'd like to see more animations like this.

[Internet Allstars 2011]

Terrible

There was no point to this. I thought this would be a video to showcase popular icons of 2011, depicting what is it that made them popular. Or even having short skits or stories with them. Instead, it was just Captain Falcon punching everything. He isn't even a 2011 icon, he's been around for years.

Nice art and animation, but lack of purpose and presentation made it suffer greatly.

[Super Mario Claus]

Not bad

Graphics were top notch, but the concept was mediocre. Also, there was no point in calling him Mario Claus.

[The Best Game Evar]

Not bad

The art was lacking and the animation was basic, but it was quirky and entertaining. I think people can overlook the downsides of this video because they blend well with the "Saturday morning cartoon" vibe you have going on.

Overall, good job.

[Wario & Waluigi ep1]

Here and there

The story wasn't bad. It's starting to look like one of the old mario bros cartoon series or something. The humor was also decent. Considering most animators make jokes that are funny to them and not everyone else, this made me smile once or twice.

Now for the heavy hitter, The animation was poor. This looks like it was made with windows movie maker (which is a possiblility, considering you said you converted TO a flash video). Having characters jump around the screen instead of actually walking or running breaks the flow of the video, as showing lack of skill and makes you look lazy ("I'm not animating a training sequence"?).

It might have been from the conversion, but the text was choppy and a little hard to read at times, and I'm not talking about the already slightly difficult to read font style you chose.

Take a little time off to practice a bit of real animation, make the subtitles a little more legible, and maybe upgrade the graphics you use. (Don't draw a bunch of crappy craters, find a sprite of one from Metal Slug or something ;p). This could shape up to be a really nice series.

[Persona 4 - I Can't Wait!]

While I found the art style interesting, the video itself seemed to lack substance. Pretty much just "I want to play Persona" - The End. If it had a little more purpose or even an actual story of some sort, this would shape up to something interesting.

Not a bad job overall.

Amazing

Despite my own personal opinion that the head should be bigger in comparison to its own body, that thing looks incredibly realistic and detailed. You have an extraordinary talent, and I hope you continue to create such amazing pieces in the future.

Thanks! I've heard about the head thing a bit but it's actually deliberate. To make it look more like something that exists in nature I started out with sketches of the in-game plant and step by step sketched out an increasingly decartoonized version. Something that is done very commonly in cartoons is to make the head and hands/feet bigger so I made the head a little smaller.

The baby has a bigger head tho, to match how babies... have big heads. :P

[Zone of the Awesome]

It was Meh...

Even for a parody, this really didn't feel like an Awesome movie at all. I didn't even feel the effort. The animation and art style was fair, but the jokes(?) weren't entirely amusing. As a parody, I give you a 6. As a non-Awesome standalone movie, it gets a solid 7.5

[Power Star 4]

The final sprite movie of Daniel Sun

And what an ending it was! Although I would have preferred a happier ending, this is one of the most amazing flash movies I have ever seen. Let me have a run-down of what I saw...

Graphics - Flawless. The action was intense. The effects were amazing and the techniques and skills you've employed are number 1 in my book. I've been on Newgrounds for a long time, and you my good man have shown me the very pinnacle of entertainment the portal has to offer.

Sound - Fantastic. Every tune that played was powerful and flowed perfectly to the scene itself. Voice-overs were amazing, especially the bit where Mario spoke demonically. I was truly taken back.

Fanboyism - My happiness is over 9000

In short, this flash kept me on the edge of my seat, and is one of the very few movies (such as Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom) that have ever kept me so close to crying from the sheer emotion and drama expressed from your work. Not only does this flash take the top spot in my favs, but I also give you my eternal gratitude for taking the time to create such a masterpiece.
